Disappointment with God
Many will look at the heading and say "no, that's impossible". But as human beings we do get disappointed with friends, workmates, spouses, relatives and experiences. Sometimes we also feel God has let us down.
We think to ourselves, perhaps God can't hear our prayers, doesn't understand our situation or is just watching to see what we shall do during those tough times when friends are few and far between.
We fast, pray, seek His Word. Still no change. Nothing. No news. We wait. We hope, we stress, we get anxious, we begin to doubt.
Maybe it's not God's Will for what we are eagerly anticipating from our committed and special times with God in the midnight hour, at 03:00, in the wee hours of the morning.
Still no answer. We hope against hope. We try to put on a brave front but deep down we are so blue with pent up emotions and niggly feelings of uncertainty.
Finally, we give up. We begin to confess negatively. We start disparaging ourselves. It doesn't matter after all.
But in Psalms 139. God says it all. "HE KNOWS YOU, YOUR GETTING UP AND SITTING DOWN ".
In the book of Isaiah, God asks, "how then can we say, He doesn't know our troubles?"
Food for thought dear Christians. He knows...He knows everything and mostly He cares and is fully sovereign over that situation that appears to be sapping your faith.
Do not give up your confidence because it brings with it a great reward. My faithful people are not those that turn back to perdition but those that believe unto Salvation. He who is coming, will not delay. You need to be patient in order to do the Will of God.
